Adele Whelan

Adele Whelan is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Economic and Social Research Institute working as a member of the labour market research programme in the Economics Analysis Division. Her research interests are in the areas of labour economics, the economics of education, and industrial organisation. She obtained her PhD in Economics from Maynooth University in 2014 and has previously held roles at Maynooth University and University College Dublin. Recently, she contributed to a major study of the Irish Further Education and Training sectors, a review of the School Completion Project, and a project in youth education and skills mismatch for the Strategic Transitions for Youth Labour in Europe (STYLE).
