A presentation of the style project was also given by Jacqueline O’Reilly at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Institute of Demographics and Labour Economics hosted by Cheung Jei in Beijing. This exchange identified some common and distinct differences facing Chinese and European youth labour markets in terms of skills shortages, mismatch and waves of youth migrants to areas of economic growth. There was even time for a short game of ping-pong at their offices.

These contacts were followed up by the Fair Work Conference at the University of Manchester in September 2014 that is closely linked to long-term collaborations with the ILO Decent Work program.
