
Helen Russell (Dr)
Dr. Helen Russell is an Associate Research Professor at the Economic and Social Research Institute where she is deputy head of the Social Research Division. She has a doctorate in sociology from the University of Oxford and prior to working at the ESRI held the position of Prize Research Fellow at Nuffield College, Oxford. Her research covers a range of inter-connecting issues relating to equality, social inclusion and the labour market. She has been Principle Investigator on numerous projects including a multi-annual research programme of research on Equality and Discrimination. She is currently working on a European-wide study on the impact of recession on the quality of work and well-being, using the European Social Survey and was a member of the international design team for the module on work and well-being in the ESS 2010. This research will be published by Oxford University Press in 2013.
