Paola Villa

Paola Villa (Ph.D in economics, University of Cambridge) is full professor at the University of Trento (DEM). She is the author of numerous studies on labour economics with particular reference to internal labour markets; labour market regulations and deregulations; gender in the labour market; fertility; labour market performance; youth. She is an expert of gender studies and equal opportunities policies in a comparative perspective. She has an extensive record of experience advising the European Commission in the field of gender equality and gender mainstreaming – since 2007 onwards as member of coordinating team and Italy national expert for the European Commission Expert Advisory Group on Gender and Employment (EGGE).
